Nigerian table tennis champion Aruna Quadri suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the final of the ITTF Africa Cup as Egypt’s Omar Assar reclaimed the title, securing his sixth continental championship. The highly anticipated match, held in Kigali, Rwanda, saw Assar deliver a dominant performance, ending Aruna’s reign as Africa’s top player.

A Fierce Rivalry Renewed

The showdown between Quadri and Assar was one of the most anticipated clashes in African table tennis. As for Assar, his victory cements his legacy as one of Africa’s greatest table tennis players. With six titles to his name, the Egyptian continues to set the standard for excellence in the sport.

The rivalry between Assar and Quadri is far from over, and fans can expect more thrilling encounters as both players strive for dominance on the African and global table tennis stage.
