Saudi Arabia’s Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, known as the “Sleeping Prince,” passed away at 36 on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, reflecting the family’s deep loss.

A Father’s Faith and Final Tribute

Prince Khaled posted on X,

“With hearts trusting in Allah’s will, we mourn our beloved son, Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, who passed away today.”

He announced funeral prayers for Sunday at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.

Despite brief signs of movement over the years, the prince never regained consciousness, leaving his family with hope amid a long struggle.
