ARMY

The Nigerian Army has officially released the list of successful candidates for the Short Service Combatant (SSC) Commission Course 49/2026. Applicants can now verify their status via the army’s recruitment portal.

Following the release, the military has issued strict guidelines regarding the selection process, which is scheduled to commence immediately in Kaduna State.

Critical Dates and Venue

All shortlisted candidates have been directed to report to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna State.

  • Reporting Date: Sunday, December 1, 2025.

  • Time: Screening begins at 6:00 am and ends at 11:00 am.

  • Travel Advice: To avoid delays, candidates are strongly advised to arrive in Kaduna on Saturday, November 30, 2025.

Warning: The Army has adopted a zero-tolerance policy for lateness. Any candidate arriving at the venue after 11:00 am on December 1 will be automatically disqualified.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must appear for the selection board with specific documentation and personal items. Failure to produce original credentials or any evidence of document alteration will lead to immediate disqualification.

Required Documents:

  • Original and photocopies of all academic and professional certificates.

  • NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

  • Valid Birth Certificate and Certificate of State of Origin.

  • BVN printout and NIN slip.

  • Completed application forms printed from the portal.

  • Scratch cards for online verification of WAEC/NECO results.

Required Kit:

  • White T-shirts, blue shorts, and white canvas shoes.

  • Writing materials, toiletries, and bedding.

Liability and Parental Consent

Due to the rigorous military nature of the selection process, the Army has stated it will not be liable for any injuries or fatalities that may occur.

Parents or guardians are required to provide a Letter of Consent signed in a recognized court of law. This legal document must state that they will not seek compensation for any injury or death recorded during the exercise.

Conduct and Restrictions

The selection process will involve document verification, medical and physical tests, and oral interviews. Candidates have been warned that a high level of discipline is mandatory; any violation of instructions will result in ejection.

During the exercise, candidates will be fed and accommodated but must cover their own transportation costs to Kaduna. Private vehicles and visitors are strictly prohibited at the venue for the duration of the screening.
