G20

President Donald Trump has officially invited the leaders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to participate as guests in next year’s G20 summit. The high-profile international gathering is set to take place in Miami, Florida.

The President confirmed the news on Tuesday following diplomatic phone calls with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Strategic Focus on Peace and Trade

During the discussions, the leaders focused on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing global stability. In a social media post, President Trump highlighted that the conversations centered on three primary objectives:

  • Regional Peace: Finding resolutions to ongoing international conflicts.
  • Economic Growth: Expanding trade opportunities between the U.S. and Central Asia.
  • Deepened Cooperation: Enhancing strategic partnerships across various sectors.

“We discussed the importance of bringing Peace to ongoing conflicts, and increased Trade and Cooperation between our Nations,” Trump stated.

Central Asia’s Growing Global Role

By inviting these two nations to Miami, the United States is signaling the increasing importance of Central Asia in global economic and security discussions. Although Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are not permanent G20 members, the U.S. is utilizing its position as host to include them in the dialogue.

Details of the G20 Hosting:

  • Location: Miami, Florida.
  • Host Nation: United States.
  • Guest Status: Both President Tokayev and President Mirziyoyev will attend as guest participants.

Trump concluded by reiterating the U.S. commitment to a successful summit: “The United States will be hosting the G20 Summit next year, and we will be extending invites to both of these Leaders to join us as guests.”
