This landmark legislation has been developed over the past two years by the Ministry of Finance in close collaboration with the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). The law, known as the Financial Transparency and Consumer Protection Act, establishes new requirements for banks operating within Côte d’Ivoire to disclose detailed information on financial products, fees, and terms of service.
