Uganda has been recognized as Africa’s top destination for birding in an annual survey conducted by SafariBookings. This finding is part of a broader study to identify the best safari countries across the continent, with Botswana claiming the overall title. The survey drew on nearly 3,600 reviews from experts and safari enthusiasts.

SafariBookings.com, the largest online platform for African safaris, aggregates feedback from both travelers and experts to compile its annual rankings. In the latest survey, countries were evaluated not only overall but also in specific categories like wildlife viewing, birding, bush atmosphere, and scenic beauty.

Uganda boasts a remarkable blend of wildlife and stunning landscapes. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is renowned as one of the premier locations to observe mountain gorillas, while Kibale, Murchison Falls, and Queen Elizabeth National Parks offer breathtaking environments teeming with wildlife, including various primates like chimpanzees. Birdwatchers will find exceptional opportunities throughout the country, with Murchison Falls National Park being a top spot for spotting the unique shoebill.

For anyone considering a safari, Uganda is a destination not to be overlooked.
