Adekunle Gold has gifted fans the perfect Christmas surprise with his new single My Love Is The Same — and an even bigger one: a beautiful reveal that he and wife Simi are expecting their second child.

The music video, released some hours ago, ends with tender family scenes showing Simi proudly cradling her growing baby bump alongside Adekunle Gold and their daughter Adejare (Deja).

A Sweet Family Moment

The couple, married since 2019, kept the pregnancy under wraps until this emotional reveal. Simi shines in soft, flowing outfits that highlight her bump, dancing gently and sharing loving glances with AG and Deja in warm, intimate shots.

The song itself is a soulful ode to enduring love, making the pregnancy announcement feel even more personal and poetic.

Fans Flood Social Media with Joy

As soon as the video dropped, #SimiPregnant and #AGBabyIsComing trended across Nigeria. Fans poured in congratulations:

  • “Using a music video to announce baby no. 2 is genius! Simi & AG are goals forever.”
  • “Deja is going to be a big sister! This family just keeps winning hearts.”

From Studio Partners to Growing Family

Simi and Adekunle Gold welcomed Deja in 2020 and have often collaborated musically while balancing parenthood. Simi’s latest album Lost and Found dominated charts this year, while AG continues his global rise with heartfelt singles.

This Christmas Eve reveal has given their supporters the ultimate feel-good news — another little one on the way for one of Afrobeats’ favourite couples.

Congratulations to Simi, Adekunle Gold and big sister Deja!
