National Arts and Culture Festival officially kicked off today, January 15, 2022, marking the beginning of a week-long celebration of the country’s vibrant artistic heritage. The festival, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, is expected to attract thousands of attendees, including local and international artists, cultural enthusiasts, and tourists.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Our Heritage,” aims to highlight the significance of cultural preservation and the role of the arts in promoting national identity. The festival features a diverse lineup of activities, including music performances, dance exhibitions, art displays, and interactive workshops that cater to participants of all ages.

The opening ceremony began with a grand parade showcasing traditional Ghanaian attire, led by various cultural groups representing different regions of the country.
