Celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has reassured fans about hygiene ahead of her record-breaking jollof rice cooking event at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
Pot Scrubbed and Ready
In a recent Instagram post, Baci revealed that she personally washed the 6-meter-wide cooking pot.
“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself with a trusted detergent,” she wrote.
Moreover, a video showed her scrubbing inside the pot. “I know you’re probably wondering why I’m inside the pot,” she joked. “I’m here to make sure it’s spotless.”
She further explained that the pot will be rinsed again and cleaned with brand-new mop sticks before the cooking begins. Therefore, fans can feel confident about the food’s hygiene standards.
Historic Cooking Challenge
The event, organized with Gino seasoning, is expected to attract over 20,000 people. In addition, Baci plans to prepare the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice, and attendees will enjoy free servings.
As a result, the record attempt promises to be more than a meal—it will serve as a celebration of Nigerian culture and cuisine, with both safety and taste at the center.
