Nollywood Actress Nkechi Nweje Dies After Brief Illness

The Nollywood industry is in mourning following the death of veteran Nollywood actress Nkechi Nweje. The beloved actress passed away after a short illness, leaving a significant void in the entertainment world.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by renowned movie producer Stanley Ajemba, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, through his Instagram handle. He described Nkechi Nweje as a vibrant talent and his best friend.

Stanley Ajemba shared an emotional tribute, recalling his last conversation with the Nollywood actress Nkechi Nweje. He wrote, “Nollywood in tears as we lost one of our vibrant Nollywood actresses, @nkechi.nweje, after a brief illness.”

Veteran actress Rita Edochie also expressed her sorrow by posting a candlelight tribute with the words, “This world is really not our home.” Additionally, actor Asa Ikuku honored her legacy, stating, “Rest in peace mummy Nkwechi Nweje TV (Nwanyi Onisha). You are indeed a blessing to us. We will miss you so much, great Nollywood actress. Rest on, legend.”
