They fled to an underground shelter, with Lavrynenko noting, “The adrenaline made me forget my stitches. It’s terrifying to give birth now.”
Doctor Oleksandr Kondriatskyi reported damage to delivery and surgery rooms, saying, “Staff and patients, some post-surgery, faced severe stress.”
Impact and Evacuation
Glass littered the facility as patients and staff prepared to evacuate. Nine people were injured citywide, including the hospital victims, while an apartment building also sustained damage.
Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported one death and five additional injuries from related attacks in the area over the past day.
