NSCDC

The Federal Government has stopped the recruitment process for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) shared this update.

A notice signed by Secretary Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd) was released today. The recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/  is now closed.

It will reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Why the Delay?

The CDCFIB is pausing to boost system efficiency. The board wants to handle the large number of applications effectively.

This ensures a fair and open process. “This helps the portal manage high volumes,” the notice explained. The upgrade aims to keep the system reliable and transparent.

Encouragement for Applicants

The CDCFIB noted the strong interest from young Nigerians. Many are eager to join these vital agencies. “We appreciate their enthusiasm,” the statement said.

“We are committed to a just recruitment process.” The board urged patience. They promised a smooth experience when the portal reopens.
