Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Shines in Portugal U-15 Squad

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 14-year-old son of football legend and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, has earned a spot in Portugal’s Under-15 squad for the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia, scheduled from May 13 to 18, 2025. The young star’s inclusion marks a significant milestone in his budding career, following in his father’s illustrious footsteps.

A Rising Talent

Affectionately known as “Cristianinho” (Little Cristiano), Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Junior was born on June 17, 2010, in San Diego, California, making him eligible to represent both Portugal and the United States. The teenager, who began training seriously at age six, has developed his skills at Al Nassr’s youth academy in Saudi Arabia, where his father currently plays. His selection for the national team highlights his growing promise on the pitch.

Portugal’s U-15 Campaign

Coached by João Santos, the Portugal U-15 team includes 22 players for the prestigious tournament. Cristianinho will make his debut as the squad faces Japan on May 13, Greece on May 14, and England on May 16. A final match on May 18 awaits, with the opponent yet to be confirmed. The tournament offers a platform for young talents like Ronaldo Jr. to showcase their abilities against top international competition.

Following a Legend’s Legacy

As the son of one of football’s greatest-ever players, Cristiano Jr. carries high expectations but has already shown glimpses of his father’s flair and work ethic. His call-up to the national team is a testament to his dedication and skill, earning him recognition independent of his famous surname. Fans are eager to see how he performs on this international stage.

A Bright Future Ahead

Cristianinho’s journey is just beginning, but his inclusion in the Portugal U-15 squad signals a promising future. As he competes in Croatia, all eyes will be on the young forward, who aims to carve out his own legacy while honoring his father’s remarkable career. This tournament could be the first of many milestones for the Al Nassr prospect.
