Italian football club Atalanta has officially named Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach. The Italian manager has signed a contract that commits him to the club through June 2027.
The 41-year-old succeeds Ivan Juric, who was dismissed on Monday. Juric’s tenure ended after just 11 matches of the 2025-26 Serie A season, following a decisive 3-0 home defeat against the newly-promoted Sassuolo on Sunday.
New Manager, New Direction
Palladino’s arrival in Bergamo signals the start of a fresh era for the team, known affectionately as “La Dea.” The club aims to continue building on its recent success both in the domestic league and in European competitions.
Palladino moves to Atalanta after completing a promising spell with Fiorentina, where he initially signed a two-year agreement in 2024.
During his time in Florence, he gained praise for prioritizing an attacking style of play and focusing heavily on developing young talent, despite the challenging conclusion of his time with the Viola.
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi publicly expressed confidence in the new manager’s strategic vision and leadership capabilities.
The club officially confirmed that Palladino’s contract is secured until June 30, 2027. His most immediate priority will be to guide Atalanta effectively through its ongoing Serie A schedule and its commitments in European tournaments.
