45 Most Influential Women

CIO Africa Magazine is excited to announce the return of our annual Most Influential Women in Digital Transformation, Africa! Now in its fifth year, this highly anticipated edition celebrates 45 remarkable women leading the way in digital transformation across Africa. We need your nominations to recognize women making extraordinary contributions to the tech industry.

Over the years, CIO Africa has honored the incredible women powering Africa’s digital revolution—some visible and others working behind the scenes. We aim to shine a spotlight on innovative, inspiring leaders and provide a platform for their success stories.

The Search for Africa’s Most Influential Women in Tech

According to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), only 20–30% of the ICT workforce in Africa is made up of women. That makes the achievements of these leaders even more remarkable. The entire November issue of CIO Africa Magazine will be dedicated to celebrating these trailblazing women and their contributions to the tech sector.

Criteria for Nomination

We are looking for women who:

  • Lead in driving the growth and strategic direction of their organization.
  • Have a strong digital footprint, engaging and connecting with the African tech community.
  • Innovate continuously, inspiring others in the tech space.
  • Serve as role models to the next generation of African women in technology.
  • Have contributed significantly to the development of the ICT sector across Africa.
  • Opened new doors and opportunities in the past year (October 2023 – October 2024) through their work in the tech industry.

How to Nominate

Nominations close on 16 October 2024.

To submit a nomination, send the following details to editorial@cioafrica.co:

  • Full name and job title of the nominee.
  • A summary of their achievements, impact, and why they deserve recognition.
  • Where possible, include supporting documents or links to highlight their work.

Be a part of this prestigious campaign and help us celebrate the leading women shaping Africa’s tech landscape. Let’s give these changemakers the recognition they deserve!

We look forward to your nominations!
