Tecno Camon 40 Premier: A Stunning Mid-Range Contender

The Tecno Camon 40 Premier has officially launched at MWC 2025, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most intriguing mid-range smartphones of the year. With a premium build, high-end cameras, and flagship-like features, this device is set to stand out in the competitive smartphone market.

Unboxing and Design

Tecno offers the Camon 40 Premier in two stylish color options: Emerald Lake Green and Galaxy Black, both featuring an elegant two-tone finish. Inside the box, users will find:

  • A color-matching vegan leather case
  • A 70W fast charger
  • A USB-C to USB-A cable

The phone follows the design philosophy of last year’s Camon 30 Premier, maintaining its premium feel with a textured rear panel. One standout feature is the knurled camera ring, reminiscent of high-end watches and professional cameras.

  • 50MP ultrawide lens (14mm, f/2.2, 1/2.76-inch sensor, autofocus)
  • 50MP selfie camera (24mm, f/2.5)

The red tally light on the back, a signature feature from previous models, remains and now supports notification alerts.

Performance and Display

The Camon 40 Premier upgrades to a 144Hz high-refresh-rate display, offering a smoother experience than its predecessor. It also boasts full IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, making it one of the most durable Camon models to date.
