Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to fostering stronger bilateral ties with China, as President Bola Tinubu hosted China’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Wang Yi, in Abuja. The high-profile meeting focused on deepening cooperation across key sectors, including trade, infrastructure, and technology.

Wang Yi emphasized the significance of his visit, stating it was aimed at reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two nations. “Nigeria is a vital partner for China in Africa, and we are here to ensure that our collaborations yield even greater benefits for both countries,” he remarked.

President Tinubu acknowledged China’s pivotal role in Nigeria’s economic development and pledged to uphold agreements that support shared growth. The discussions covered new investment opportunities, ongoing projects, and measures to enhance trade relations.

Observers view the meeting as a testament to the robust ties between Nigeria and China, with expectations of significant progress in joint ventures and economic partnerships in the coming years.
