Democrats on a congressional oversight panel have released more than a dozen new images obtained from the estate of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The batch includes photographs of President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and other high-profile figures.
The release on Friday is part of a broader review of more than 95,000 images produced by the estate. According to House Oversight Committee Democrats, Trump appears in three of the 19 photos shared so far.
The Images
The released collection provides a glimpse into Epstein’s social circles.
- Trump Photos: In one black-and-white image, President Trump is seen smiling, flanked by several women whose faces have been redacted. A second photo captures him standing directly beside Epstein. A third, grainier image shows him seated next to another woman with his red tie loosened. The dates and locations of these photographs remain unclear.
- Other Figures: The batch also features former President Bill Clinton, former Trump aide Steve Bannon, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
- Items Found: Beyond the photographs of individuals, the release included images of sex toys and a novelty item described as a $4.50 “Trump condom.” The packaging is emblazoned with Trump’s face and the phrase “I’M HUUUGE!” in all capital letters.
Partisan Clash
The release has sparked an immediate dispute within the committee, which is led by Republican Chairman James Comer.
A spokesperson for the committee accused the Democrats of politicizing the investigation. They claimed the minority members were “cherry-picking photos and making targeted redactions to create a false narrative about President Trump.”
In contrast, Democrats argued that the public deserves transparency regarding the “wealthy and powerful men who spent time with Jeffrey Epstein.” They noted that the women’s faces were redacted solely to protect the identities of potential victims.
“These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world,” said Representative Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the oversight committee. “We will not rest until the American people get the truth. The Department of Justice must release all the files, NOW.”
Impending File Release
The release of these photos comes just days before a significant deadline for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
Last month, President Trump signed an overwhelmingly bipartisan bill into law that mandates the DOJ to release unclassified Epstein files within 30 days.
The legislation was led by Democratic Representative Ro Khanna and Republican Representative Thomas Massie.
The deadline for this release is December 19, late next week.
Background
Trump and Epstein were known to be friends during the 1990s and early 2000s. However, the President has stated that he severed ties before Epstein pleaded guilty to prostitution charges.
Trump has consistently denied having any knowledge of the late financier’s abuse and sex trafficking of underage girls.
