Panic at the White House: Guest Collapses During Trump Event

WHITE HOUSE

A moment of palpable panic swept through the White House on Thursday. A guest suddenly collapsed next to U.S. President Donald Trump while he was making an official announcement. The incident occurred as the President prepared to speak about a new initiative to reduce the cost of obesity drugs.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt identified the guest. The individual was a representative from one of the healthcare companies involved in the announcement. The person lost consciousness while standing behind the President’s desk, just as CEO David Ricks was addressing the audience.

The Collapse and Immediate Response

Witnesses reported that the individual, positioned alongside pharmaceutical executives and administration officials, suddenly fainted. Those nearby swiftly and carefully guided the person down to the ground.

“You OK?” Ricks was heard asking immediately as the collapse happened. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz and others quickly rushed forward to assist.

President Trump stepped out from behind the Resolute Desk as members of the press were swiftly ushered out of the room. Leavitt later confirmed that the person received immediate medical attention and was “doing fine.”

When journalists were allowed back into the room, President Trump addressed the incident directly. He reassured the media, saying: “You saw he went down. And he’s fine. They just sent him out. He’s got doctors’ care. But he’s fine.”

The event, which had been ongoing for about 30 minutes, took a brief pause due to the health scare. This marks the second time a guest has fainted at the White House this year; a young girl collapsed in April during a swearing-in ceremony but recovered quickly.
