Georgina Mukami Odhiambo, who was recently named the dxNova Woman of the Year, is celebrating another remarkable achievement as she steps into the role of Head of IT Retail Banking at NCBA Group. In her new position, Mukami will provide strategic leadership, driving the integration of advanced technology solutions while collaborating closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations. A crucial part of her role will be analyzing customer feedback and market trends, leveraging this insight to spearhead innovation and maintain NCBA’s competitive edge in retail banking.
Mukami’s extensive experience spans over a decade in the banking industry, where she has honed her skills in various pivotal roles. Prior to joining NCBA, she held key positions at the National Bank of Kenya, such as Head of ICT Channels Operations and Head of Enterprise Services. Her work there involved managing ICT channels, ensuring the effective delivery of services, and overseeing the entire software lifecycle.
During her tenure at Co-operative Bank of Kenya, Mukami distinguished herself as an E-Channels Supervisor Officer. She played a vital role in the development and management of e-banking systems, including internet and mobile banking channels. Her strategic thinking and sharp analytical abilities were instrumental in enhancing the performance and efficiency of digital banking services.
Mukami’s expertise extends beyond banking operations. With over 12 years of experience as a Service Delivery Ambassador, she has led multifaceted projects and worked across a variety of functions. Her skills include product development and evaluating emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), data analytics, and productivity tools. Certified in Prince2 project management, Mukami is well-versed in coordinating projects, leading teams, and fostering strong relationships within organizations.
