Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has publicly apologized to its customers for weeks of service disruptions caused by challenges during its transition to the Finacle banking suite. The disruptions, which included difficulties with accessing digital platforms and delays in transaction processing, drew widespread complaints from customers.

In a statement, GTBank acknowledged the frustration and inconvenience caused, attributing the issues to technical adjustments required during the upgrade of its core banking infrastructure. The bank assured its customers that the migration to the new system is now complete, with enhanced features designed to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

The Finacle banking suite is a modern, scalable platform that offers better data security and streamlined banking processes. GTBank emphasized that this upgrade was essential to meet growing customer demands and align with technological advancements in the banking sector. Despite these assurances, customers have expressed mixed reactions, with some remaining skeptical about the bank’s ability to deliver on its promises of improved service.

GTBank stated it is working diligently to address residual challenges and stabilize its services. The bank also committed to keeping its customers informed about ongoing developments and implementing additional support measures to ensure a smoother experience.
