Nollywood actress Doyin Kukoyi has addressed and dismissed rumors of a romantic relationship with veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo.

She clarified that the speculation arose from their roles as a married couple in a recent movie.

In an interview on Nollywood on Radio, Kukoyi explained that the rumors started after she shared a set photo from the film, in which they portrayed a couple celebrating their daughter’s wedding.

Origin of the Rumors

“We were on a movie set where Ogogo and I played husband and wife. I posted a picture from the shoot on social media, and some fans assumed we were actually married,” Kukoyi said.

“Even now, many still believe I’m Ogogo’s wife.”

A Storied Career in Nollywood

Kukoyi, a Nollywood veteran with over three decades in the industry, also shared insights into her career. She revealed that her media journey began at Daar Communications before she transitioned fully into acting.
