Air Peace Flight Delays Due to Heavy Rain in Lagos: Safety First

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, heavy rain in Lagos disrupted Air Peace flight schedules. The airline issued a statement through spokesperson Osifo-Whiskey Efe, confirming delays across its network.

Despite the disruptions, Air Peace emphasized that keeping passengers safe is its top goal.

Air Peace Addresses Passengers

The airline explained, “Heavy rainfall in Lagos this morning has delayed some flights. We’re working to reduce the impact.” Air Peace asked for patience, adding, “Weather is out of our control, but your safety comes first. We’ll get you to your destination safely.”

NiMet Weather Outlook

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) forecast rain and thunderstorms from Monday to Wednesday. On Sunday, NiMet predicted morning showers in northern states like Kaduna, Bauchi, Gombe, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba.

Afternoon and evening rain may affect the north, with possible flash floods in Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe. Central areas, including Niger, Kogi, Kwara, the FCT, and Benue, expect clouds with some sunshine and rain.
