On September 25, 2025, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde cut short his annual vacation to attend the coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, set for September 26.
He asked the State House of Assembly to approve his early return, and they did so on Thursday.
Why He Came Back
Makinde called the coronation a major cultural event for Oyo State. His leave was planned from August 29 to September 29, but he chose to resume work early.
