Kuku was elected Vice-President of Airports Council International (ACI) Africa during the 34th ACI Africa General Assembly in Lusaka, Zambia.

The event, running from September 13, wrapped up today, marking a key achievement for Nigerian aviation.

Official Statement of Praise

Tinubu’s message, shared via his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, highlighted Kuku’s contributions.

He commended FAAN’s ongoing work to elevate air travel safety and efficiency in Nigeria, earning worldwide acclaim.

“The President recognizes FAAN’s dedication to upholding top-tier standards, which has drawn international praise,” the statement noted.

Kuku’s Leadership Journey

Tinubu spotlighted Kuku’s strong track record at ACI, the global airports association founded in 1991. With over 2,000 members in 170 countries, ACI sets industry policies and best practices.

Kuku previously served as Regional Advisor for Africa and now joins the ACI World Governing Board as a permanent member. Her vision and guidance were key to these roles.
