President John Dramani Mahama has appointed three new heads for key security agencies in Ghana—the Ghana National Fire Service, Prisons Service, and Immigration Service.
The appointments, announced on Friday, March 14, come as part of Mahama’s effort to strengthen national security and law enforcement.

✅ DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong – New Head of Ghana National Fire Service
✅ DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu – New Comptroller General of Ghana Immigration Service
COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno Sworn in as New IGP
In addition to these appointments, President Mahama officially swore in COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).
He takes over from George Akuffo-Dampare, who served as IGP since 2021 under former President Akufo-Addo.
These strategic security appointments signal a new era of leadership aimed at enhancing public safety, law enforcement, and national security operations across Ghana.
