The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee announced a significant benefit for football fans on Friday. Supporters planning to travel to the tournament will now be eligible to receive free electronic visas (E-Visa).
This new policy applies specifically to citizens of countries who normally require a visa to enter Morocco.
Simplifying the Entry Process
CAF confirmed the details in a statement on its official channel. “Electronic visas to enter Morocco obtained through the YALLA app are now free of charge for supporters,” the statement read. The tournament is scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
The governing body noted that this major announcement comes amid surging global interest in Africa’s biggest football event. More fans are booking tickets.
To successfully enter Morocco and access the venues, fans must secure two mandatory documents:
- A Fan Identification (Fan ID).
- An E-Visa (required only for nationals who normally need one).
CAF emphasized that the Fan ID is compulsory for access to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can complete both the Fan ID registration and the e-visa request simultaneously within the YALLA app.
This integrated process is designed to streamline verification and match-day access. The seamless experience ensures “a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike.”
How to Apply
Fans wishing to attend the tournament are strongly encouraged to begin the application process immediately:
- Download the App: Obtain the YALLA app from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, or visit the official YALLA website.
- Register for Fan ID: Complete the mandatory Fan ID form within the application.
- Request E-Visa: If your citizenship requires a visa for entry, submit the e-visa request directly through the app.
- Purchase Tickets: Once both the Fan ID and, if necessary, the e-visa are approved, supporters can purchase match tickets on the official CAF ticketing platform.
CAF stated that these new measures are designed to deliver a “seamless, secure fan experience” for Africa’s showcase event.
The tournament will be played across nine stadiums in six designated host cities. With Morocco hosting for the first time since 1988, high expectations are set for the continent’s biggest football festival, which will feature 24 national teams.
