MOROCCO

The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is fast approaching. Morocco is significantly increasing its preparations by training hundreds of young volunteers. This crucial effort aims to ensure the smooth and successful execution of Africa’s largest football tournament.

Comprehensive Volunteer Workshop

A specialized workshop has assembled energetic young people. These participants come from diverse regions across the nation. The training provides both theoretical knowledge and practical exercises in several key areas:

  • Public Communication
  • Logistics Management
  • Reception Services
  • First Aid Provision

The main goal is simple: equip participants with the essential skills. This ensures they can deliver a safe, seamless, and welcoming experience for the thousands of fans expected to attend the event.

One participant expressed the national enthusiasm: “We are very passionate about sports, especially football, which is why we have no problem finding volunteers.” Another attendee highlighted the personal benefit: “These days have been a great experience; they allowed us to gain knowledge in the field of sports and football.” This knowledge helps them contribute meaningfully to the events of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Tournament Details

Morocco is set to host the 35th edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament runs from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

The competition will feature 24 national teams. These teams will compete across nine stadiums situated in six host cities. As the reigning champions, Côte d’Ivoire, prepare to defend their title, Morocco promises a celebration of unity, passion, and African football excellence.
