Young Africans’ Pacome

Young Africans midfielder Pacome Zouzoua has been called up to represent the Ivory Coast national team.

The Ivorian Football Federation (IFF) announced that Pacome will replace Ibrahim Sangare, who is currently injured.

During the upcoming FIFA break, the Elephants will compete in two friendly matches, facing Benin on March 23 and Uruguay on March 26.

It remains uncertain whether Pacome will participate, as he sustained an injury during a Premier League match against Azam FC.

In the Premier League, Pacome has scored seven goals and is the second top scorer in the CAF Champions League with four goals.

Initially, Pacome was named in the preliminary squad of 53 players for AFCON 2023, but he was later dropped by former Ivory Coast manager Jean-Louis Gasset.
