PalmPay and Jumia have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s digital payment ecosystem while rewarding customers through a holiday campaign.

The partnership integrates PalmPay as a payment option on Jumia’s e-commerce platform, offering Nigerian shoppers a seamless and secure payment experience. With the inclusion of PalmPay, customers can now enjoy cashless transactions when shopping on Jumia, further promoting financial inclusion in the country.

During the unveiling of the partnership, both companies emphasized their shared vision of fostering a robust digital payment landscape in Nigeria. They believe this collaboration will encourage more Nigerians to adopt electronic payment methods, contributing to the growth of the fintech and e-commerce industries.

To celebrate the partnership, the duo launched a holiday campaign designed to reward customers who use PalmPay on Jumia. The campaign features incentives such as cashback offers, discounts, and promotional deals for customers who make purchases using PalmPay. This initiative is expected to drive higher engagement and adoption of digital payments during the festive season.

PalmPay’s Country Manager, Chika Nwosu, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in simplifying payments for millions of Nigerians. “Our partnership with Jumia represents a shared commitment to delivering value and convenience to customers while strengthening the digital economy,” Nwosu said.

Likewise, Jumia’s CEO, Massimiliano Spalazzi, noted the importance of integrating innovative payment solutions into their platform. “We are thrilled to partner with PalmPay to provide Nigerians with a secure and rewarding shopping experience. This is a step forward in driving digital transformation in Nigeria,” Spalazzi remarked.

Experts see this partnership as a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s digital payment sector, as it combines the strengths of a leading fintech company and the country’s top e-commerce platform. The collaboration aligns with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) cashless policy, which aims to reduce reliance on cash and promote the use of digital payment systems.

Customers have already begun expressing excitement about the benefits of the holiday campaign, with many seeing it as an opportunity to save on purchases while embracing cashless transactions.

As the holiday season progresses, PalmPay and Jumia’s joint efforts are expected to attract a significant number of users, setting the stage for further collaborations and innovations in the digital payment ecosystem.
