Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch blasted Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s choice to recognize Palestine.
In a social media post on September 21, 2025, she called it a “disastrous” move.
The North West Essex MP said it fails to help Gaza hostages or civilians and may support terrorism.
Wrong Priorities
Badenoch said Starmer focuses on Labour’s left-wing ideas to stay in power. “They push assisted suicide instead of fixing healthcare,” she said.
“They lower the voting age instead of creating jobs. They recognize Palestine instead of tackling immigration.”
Weak Foreign Policy
She criticized Starmer’s foreign decisions, like paying £35 billion to Mauritius and giving up the Chagos Islands. “Starmer has no clear plan for the UK,” Badenoch said. She warned Labour’s choices will leave a mess for others to fix.
Starmer’s Defense
Starmer, MP for Holborn and St Pancras, said recognizing Palestine supports peace and a two-state solution. But Badenoch argued it ignores Hamas’s actions and the war’s impact on people.
