MyLagos App

The MyLagos App has officially been launched by the Lagos State Government, marking a major step toward digital transformation in Africa’s largest city. Designed to simplify city navigation and improve the overall urban experience, the app offers Lagos residents seamless access to essential services.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, introduced the app at the launch event held at MTN Plaza, Falomo, Ikoyi, on Thursday. He emphasized that Lagos is a beacon of innovation, and the launch of MyLagos App is a testament to the state’s commitment to becoming a leading smart city in Africa.

The MyLagos App was developed through a public-private partnership, with MTN Nigeria and other key stakeholders collaborating with the Lagos State Government to bring this vision to life.

MyLagos App: A One-Stop Digital Solution for Lagosians

The MyLagos App is designed as a comprehensive digital hub, offering seamless access to essential city services. Some of its core features include:

Real-time traffic updates for easy navigation
Personalized navigation to help residents move around the city
Emergency services for quick response in critical situations
Utility payments for bills and essential services
Business listings to support local enterprises
Tourism and events information to showcase Lagos’ vibrant culture

Speaking on the impact of the app, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted how technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity in modern governance.

“With the launch of the MyLagos App, Lagos State is poised to remain at the forefront of digital transformation, not just in Nigeria but across Africa,” he said.

By serving as a vital link between the government and residents, the MyLagos App promotes transparency, efficiency, and improved service delivery in Lagos.

MyLagos App: Public-Private Partnership Driving Innovation

A key factor in the success of the MyLagos App is the collaboration between the Lagos State Government, MTN Nigeria, and other stakeholders. Governor Sanwo-Olu praised this public-private partnership, noting that it demonstrates the power of synergy in driving meaningful progress.

He encouraged residents to embrace the digital era by downloading the MyLagos App and taking full advantage of its features.

“Together, we can shape a smarter future for our city. Let us remember that innovation is a continuous journey rather than a final destination,” he said.

MTN Nigeria’s Manager of Digital Channel Management, Abdulhakeem Giwa, described the MyLagos App as a game-changer, designed to transform urban living in Lagos.

“It ensures better and easier navigation for all residents,” he said.

The app serves as a one-stop platform for essential city information, including:

  • Locations of key places
  • Traffic updates
  • Markets and businesses
  • Trending news
  • Jobs and vacancies
  • Transport services

With the MyLagos App, Lagos is embracing the future of smart city innovation, ensuring that technology enhances daily life and promotes seamless urban living. Residents are encouraged to download the app today and experience the benefits of digital governance firsthand.
