Trump’s Global Tariffs Take Effect, Marking a Historic Shift in U.S. Trade Policy

Two Pakistani TV news channels reported on Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump might visit Pakistan in September.

If true, this would be the first U.S. presidential visit in nearly 20 years. The last was by George W. Bush in 2006.

Sources close to the matter shared this with the channels. Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson, however, said he knows nothing about it.

The reports also suggest Trump could travel to India after Islamabad.

Improved Relations

U.S.-Pakistan ties have grown stronger recently. Last month, Trump hosted Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at the White House.

This unusual meeting hints at deeper diplomatic efforts. It follows years of uneven relations. The potential visit could signal a new chapter.

Trump’s stop in India might also shape regional talks. Details remain unconfirmed, keeping officials and analysts guessing.

What It Means

This news comes as both nations seek to strengthen ties. The White House meeting with Munir focused on security and cooperation.

A visit could boost trade or address global issues. Yet, the lack of official confirmation adds uncertainty. Pakistan’s government may clarify soon.

Meanwhile, India’s inclusion suggests a broader agenda. Observers watch for any impact on South Asian politics.
