The Federal Government of Nigeria has revealed the theme for the country’s 65th Independence Day: “All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”

The Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, announced the theme on September 24, 2025, in Abuja.

Unity and Progress

The theme emphasizes collective effort across government, private sector, civil society, and citizens to promote peace, prosperity, and growth.

It celebrates Nigeria’s journey since 1960 and the push to advance under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Program Alignment

Agencies and partners are encouraged to weave the theme into their initiatives, ensuring its message of unity resonates nationwide to support the vision of a stronger Nigeria.
