Faith, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, is using his fame to make a difference by partnering with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) for a community outreach.
The event, set for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the LFBI Warehouse in Lagos, aims to support families struggling with hunger amid Nigeria’s rising cost of living.
Returning to Make an Impact
This marks Faith’s second collaboration with LFBI. He previously volunteered for their #NUMEPlan, a program focused on feeding and treating malnourished children.
Now, he’s joining the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to provide food relief to vulnerable households.
LFBI praised Faith’s commitment on social media, stating, “After Big Brother transformed his life, Faith is now transforming lives.
He’s back to help families in need, turning his platform into a force for good.” The organization called the outreach a “movement of compassion and action.”
Faith’s Journey After Big Brother
Faith’s disqualification from Big Brother Naija Season 10 was a setback, but he has turned it into an opportunity for growth.
He revealed taking a ₦5 million loan to join the show, which he described as life-changing despite the challenges.
Thanking his fans, whom he calls “the Faithfuls,” Faith expressed his desire to focus on meaningful work. His return to LFBI fulfills a promise to continue supporting their efforts to combat hunger.
Collaborative Efforts to End Hunger
LFBI is teaming up with five Nigerian NGOs: JKO Heart Foundation, McDera Food Bank, The Glow Foundation, Faith Moves Foundation, and I Care For All Foundation, through its Food Bank Network Nigeria.
Together, they aim to strengthen communities and reduce food insecurity. “These partnerships are key to fighting hunger across Nigeria,” LFBI stated, emphasizing the power of collective action.
Tackling Nigeria’s Food Paradox
LFBI’s #AgricoveryProgram, which includes Wednesday’s outreach, addresses Nigeria’s unique challenge: abundant farm produce alongside widespread hunger.
The program collects surplus crops from local farms, sorts them, and distributes them to elderly, disabled, and low-income families hit hard by economic pressures.
LFBI explained, “Our goal is to ensure no one goes hungry while food goes to waste. We target those most in need, including people with diet-related illnesses and those struggling with rising costs.”
A Call for Change
Nigeria’s agricultural sector produces significant food, yet inefficiencies in the supply chain lead to waste, economic losses, and environmental harm.
LFBI’s mission is to bridge this gap, ensuring nutritious food reaches those who need it most.
By involving public figures like Faith and partnering with NGOs, the organization hopes to inspire broader efforts to address food insecurity and promote sustainable practices.
