The Nigerian film industry is reeling from the sudden loss of Princess Allwell Eniobanke Ademola. A highly respected actress, movie producer, and musician, she passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

According to a family statement released by Adegboyega Adebayo, the entertainer was only 49 years old.

The news has sent shockwaves through her colleagues and millions of fans. Currently, the family has requested privacy while they prepare for her burial arrangements.

Tributes Pour in for a Creative Icon

Known for her versatility, Princess Allwell was a beloved figure in the Yoruba film sector. Bolaji Amusan (Mr. Latin), President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), expressed his profound grief online.

“My heart is heavy tonight. We have lost a brilliant producer, director, and musician. Her creativity and spirit left a deep mark on everyone who knew her,” Amusan shared.

Additionally, her cousin and fellow actor Muyiwa Ademola confirmed the news. He described it as some of the saddest information he has ever received. Consequently, many are struggling to process how the tragedy unfolded so soon after such a hopeful message.

A Royal and Creative Legacy

Princess Allwell Ademola was born in 1976 into a royal family in Abeokuta, Ogun State. She was the great-granddaughter of the Alake of Egba land. Throughout her career, she carried this royal heritage with grace and dignity.

Professional Milestones
