The fight, which took place on 20th of March, 2021, saw Ajagba dominate the ring, ending the bout with a crushing knockout in the third round. This win solidifies Ajagba’s reputation as a rising star in the heavyweight division and places him firmly in contention for future title fights.

Ajagba, 27, known for his powerful punches and towering 6’6″ frame, showcased his skills against the experienced American boxer Brian Howard. The fight started with both fighters cautiously exchanging blows, but by the third round, Ajagba unleashed a powerful right hand that sent Howard crashing to the canvas. The knockout was so decisive that the referee immediately waved off the fight, giving Ajagba a well-deserved victory.

Speaking after the fight, Ajagba expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “I came into this fight prepared and focused on executing my game plan. I knew if I connected with my right hand, the fight would end early. I’m grateful for the win and ready for bigger challenges.”

This victory marks Ajagba’s 15th win in his professional boxing career, with an impressive 12 of those wins coming by knockout. Ajagba has been building a strong reputation in the heavyweight division since turning professional in 2017. His raw power and knockout ability have drawn comparisons to some of boxing’s greatest heavyweights, with experts viewing him as a future contender for major titles.

Boxing analyst Steve Bunce commented on Ajagba’s performance, saying, “Ajagba’s knockout power is remarkable, and it’s clear that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division. If he continues to develop his technique and discipline, he could be in line for a title shot within the next year or two.”

Ajagba’s rise in the heavyweight ranks is notable, as he has consistently faced tough opponents and emerged victorious. Born in Ughelli, Nigeria, Ajagba began his boxing career at a young age and represented Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympics, reaching the quarterfinals before turning professional. His journey has been marked by perseverance and a steady climb through the ranks, with many fans and boxing experts eagerly watching his progression.

As Ajagba eyes potential future matchups, including possible title fights against top heavyweights like Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua, this latest victory only adds to the excitement surrounding his career. Ajagba’s team has expressed confidence that he is ready for bigger challenges and that his knockout of Howard is just the beginning of what could be a significant run in the heavyweight division.
