Chiamaka Nnadozie, goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, and the team itself emerged as top winners in key categories, highlighting Nigeria’s continued excellence in African football.

Chiamaka Nnadozie, the Super Falcons’ shot-stopper, was named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the second consecutive time. The award celebrates her outstanding performances in 2024, including her heroics in international tournaments and club competitions. Nnadozie’s agility, composure, and leadership on the pitch have solidified her as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers.

The Super Falcons clinched the award for Female National Team of the Year, marking their second consecutive win in the category. Their impressive outings in 2024, including strong performances in international tournaments and a display of resilience and skill, earned them the top honor.

Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), dedicated the Super Falcons’ award to Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu. Gusau praised the team for their unity and determination, emphasizing the support they have received from stakeholders in Nigerian football.
