Tacha Akide, a Nigerian media star and entrepreneur, will host the first Tacha Beauty Festival from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History in Lagos.

The three-day event will celebrate beauty, culture, and innovation, showcasing Nigeria’s vibrant creative scene.

Guinness World Record Attempt

The festival’s centerpiece is Tacha’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most cosmetic makeovers by an individual in 24 hours, targeting 150 transformations.

This bold effort aims to highlight Nigeria’s booming beauty and lifestyle sector globally.

Empowering Creativity and Culture

Idris Aregbe, Lagos State Governor’s tourism adviser, praised the initiative. “This festival goes beyond a record attempt,” he said.

“It showcases Nigerian talent and creates opportunities. Lagos is proud to back this vision.”

The event aims to empower local creatives and promote cultural pride.

Workshops and Opportunities

The festival will offer workshops on makeup, hair, skincare, wellness, and fashion. A Vendor Village will connect local brands with thousands of attendees, fostering business growth and partnerships.

Tacha’s Growing Influence

Tacha, a former reality TV star turned entrepreneur, has built a strong brand with fans across Africa.

The Beauty Festival strengthens her mission to inspire young creatives, drive economic growth in the beauty sector, and position Nigeria as a global hub for innovation.
