Sacked Kano SSG Abdullahi Bichi threatens to expose Governor Abba Yusuf and key NNPP figures, alleging betrayal and internal political strife.

The former Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG), Abdullahi Bichi, has issued a strong warning to expose alleged wrongdoing by Governor Abba Yusuf and other prominent political figures. Bichi, who was recently relieved of his position, claims to possess incriminating evidence, including audio recordings, that could implicate top members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and its leadership.

Bichi expressed his frustration during a press conference, describing his dismissal as a betrayal by the Kwankwasiyya movement and the NNPP. He stated that he had worked tirelessly for the party’s success in the last elections, only to be sidelined in what he termed a politically motivated dismissal.

According to the former SSG, his removal is linked to internal political conflicts within the party, orchestrated by individuals he referred to as “betrayers” within the Kwankwasiyya fold, a political faction loyal to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso. Bichi alleged that these individuals prioritized personal interests over the collective good of the state and the party.

In a fiery statement, Bichi vowed to disclose details of covert activities involving key political figures in Kano. “I will expose everything if this betrayal continues unchecked,” he said. His threats come amidst growing tension within the NNPP, which has been grappling with allegations of internal divisions and mismanagement.

Governor Abba Yusuf has yet to officially respond to Bichi’s accusations. However, sources close to the administration dismissed the former SSG’s claims, labeling them as attempts to create distractions and tarnish the image of the government.

Political analysts suggest that Bichi’s threats could further deepen the cracks within the NNPP. His revelations, if substantiated, could have far-reaching consequences for the party’s leadership, especially as the state gears up for future elections.

This development follows earlier reports of dissatisfaction among some NNPP members who feel sidelined by the current administration. Observers warn that unresolved grievances within the party could weaken its cohesion and impact its performance in upcoming political contests.

As the public awaits Bichi’s next move, calls for transparency and accountability in Kano’s political landscape have grown louder. Stakeholders are urging both parties to address their differences constructively to maintain stability and focus on governance.
