Three Headless Bodies Discovered in Ondo

There is growing tension in Odigbo, a community in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, following the shocking discovery of three headless bodies floating in a river along the Odigbo-Ore Old Road.

Residents were thrown into panic after the decomposing, mutilated bodies were found by locals, sparking fears of ritual killings or possible activities of suspected kidnappers in the area.

According to community sources, the gruesome discovery has left residents gripped with fear.

A youth leader in the area, identified as Shileola, said the victims may have been killed elsewhere and dumped in the river.

“There have been no recent reports of missing persons, which makes this even more mysterious. I couldn’t identify them from their clothing or anything else,” he said.

Shileola urged community members to remain security conscious and report suspicious movements to authorities.

“The entire town is on edge. We’ve never seen anything like this,” he added.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, SP Ayanlade Olayinka, stated that the matter was promptly reported at the Ore Police Division.

“Three bodies were recovered from the river and moved to the morgue at the General Hospital. The DPO has also summoned community leaders and other stakeholders to assist in identifying the victims,” he said.

The police have yet to identify the victims or establish the motive behind the killings as investigations are ongoing.
