Simone Gbagbo, the former First Lady of Ivory Coast, has declared her intention to run for the country’s presidency in the 2025 elections. A seasoned politician and influential figure in Ivory Coast’s political landscape, Simone Gbagbo served as the First Lady from 2000 to 2011 during the presidency of her then-husband, Laurent Gbagbo.
